PROFESSIONAL JUMP POLES SET TO TAKE POLE POSITION
Professional Jump Poles Ltd (PJP) are aiming to jump clear of the competition this month when they make their debut in the show jumping product arena with their unique range of jump poles.

Following two years in development, husband and wife team Paul and Kath Spencer are now heading for pole position in the marketplace, with Michael Whitaker, the UK’s current ranked number one show jumper, having already confirmed he will be using their poles in training.

Michael, who is one of the world’s most respected equine personalities on both the Olympic and International stages, commented:

“These really are top quality jump poles. PJP have successfully produced poles that are broader than average making them easier for the horse to see. This makes the horse perform with more confidence, leaving the rider more time to focus on getting the perfect stride when approaching a jump.”

Professional Jump Poles have created a product range specifically designed for training purposes. The poles are made from PVCu pipe which has a 3.2mm thick wall and is 110mm in diameter; they have wooden inserts which allow production in varying weights.

The combination of traditional wooden weights and cutting edge new laminating technology has resulted in jump poles not only strong enough to withstand the toughest of knocks but that also act as a safeguard against the pole splintering and causing injury to the horse or rider.

It was with safety in mind that the Spencer’s first undertook the creation of their own brand of jump poles. With over sixty years experience in breeding and training horses, they detected the early signs of jumping talent in one of their own foals who is now set to become a world class performer.

Managing Director, Paul Spencer explained:

“We simply couldn’t afford to take any risks training our two year old foal who we believe has an exceptionally bright future. We needed to do everything possible to realise his full show jumping potential. We felt there were no poles on the market that were safe enough and tough enough to train him, so we decided to make our own! Once word got out about the quality of our jumps, orders started flooding in.”

Professional Jump Poles are the only jump poles on the market that provide a five year colourfast guarantee, and they also offer customers a free replacement pole if one should break.

Professional Show Jumping Trainer, Debbie Godber commented:

“The colourfast guarantee is a must for anyone with an outdoor ménage, especially in the summer months when pole colours can fade in a matter of weeks - if the horse can clearly see the pole then he is less likely to get spooked.
